“…I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.” (Gen 12:2 – 3)

The Abrahamic covenant marks a milestone in human history when God chooses to lavish His affection upon a particular a nation, later to be called Israel.

God’s covenant includes promises to Abraham, his descendants and to all the world in general. Scofield introduces this dispensation by saying, “Abraham, and his descendants …became distinctively the heirs of promise. That covenant is wholly gracious and unconditional. The descendants of Abraham had but to abide in their own land to inherit every blessing.” (Scofield 1917)

This series attempts to answer the question, “Present a “Royal Line of Salvation” throughout the Old and New Testament. Start at Genesis 3:15 passing through Isaiah 9:6 and ending at John 3:16. Join together at least twenty verses outlining the salvation story.” by giving a chronological account of the genealogy of Christ recorded in Luke 3.
