The first time I saw this video I had goose bumps. It’s a wonderful rolling snapshot through the whole of Scripture. The art is by a guy called Gustave Doré (1832 – 1883). Go and check out some of his artwork here.
“I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.” (Gen 3:15, unless otherwise indicated, all Scripture quotations are from the King James Version)
Could Adam and Eve, with the curse ringing in their ears, having been disgraced and with banishment weighing heavily on their hearts, have perceived the greatness of the promise in Genesis 3:15, “[although] Satan would cripple mankind, …the seed, Christ, would deliver the fatal blow.” (Ross 1985:33)
Scripture, the greatest story ever told, is an account of God; who He is and what He’s done. God reveals much of His love, mercy and grace in salvation throughout the narrative of human history. It is to this woven scarlet thread we now turn, tracing God’s hand in Jesus’ forebears as listed in Luke 3:23 – 38. For indeed, as He has said, so He has done.

and thou shalt bruise his heel is a prophecy that a woman will bruise Satan at the heel of time. Check out the bruising of Satan at the heel of time at http://thegoodtale.wordpress.com
Hi Val,
The heel of time. You’re going to need to expand that a bit for me.
